Yoga Nidrā (Online) - The Art of Yogic Rest - Oct 26th

Join us for a restful evening in the tranquil environment of your own space for a guided Group practice of Yoga Nidrā, the practice of conscious, meditative yogic rest.

Through guided progressive relaxation techniques, while lying down, you will learn to gradually peel the layers of tension in the body. Gradually, you will become increasingly capable of removing physical, emotional, and spiritual blockages, and infuse your life with greater healing intentions.

In this workshop, we will briefly introduce the history and how it works, then perform a guided practice. No prior training in meditation or yoga is necessary, although Yoga Nidrā can work in conjunction with other meditation practices to deepen them.

Yoga Nidrā is performed while completely in śavāsana (corpse pose). You should be able to lie down on the floor for approximately 45-60 minutes.

You will need:

• A quiet space in your home
• An environment where you can hear my guidance through the zoom audio...either headphones, or speaker from laptop, or phone/bluetooth.
• A Yoga Mat, or comfortable surface where you can lie still for 60 minutes
• A Pillow or cushions (or multiple if you require leg support)
• A Blanket
• A water bottle
• Wear comfortable clothing
